The HITS Telecommunicator Series 40-Hour Basic
Training Course has been developed in response to
the APCO Project 33 Training Standard and to fulfill
industry requests for cost-effective standardized
training readily available to a broad spectrum of
dispatch, 911, or any public safety telecommunication
personnel. This computer-based interactive training
solution for telecommunicators presents 40 hours of
standardized training on CD-ROM. Each of the eight
Project 33 compliant modules teach core training topics
recommended for telecommunicators nationwide.
This modular style of instruction presents major
instructional elements in a logical format, which
accommodates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning.
Learning activities, practice exercises, and lesson
quizzes provide student interaction, help the student
with both personal and professional development, and
provide simulations that help the student understand
the expectations of professional emergency telecommunicators.
