Security Supervision and Management Program

The Security Supervision and Management Program is a comprehensive distance learning course designed for self-paced home study to meet the needs of the security supervisor or senior protection officer. The Security Supervision and Management Program course was created by the International Foundation of Protection Officers to improve knowledge about the diverse critical issues affecting today's security professional including personnel selection, quality control, and outsourcing.

The course text, "Security Supervision: Theory and Practice of Asset Protection", published by Butterworth-Heinemann in 1999 provides the basis to the Security Supervision and Management Program. The final exam format is closed book and consists of 260 true/false or multiple choice questions. This final exam may be taken as a standard paper-based exam or it may be taken online for an additional $20.00 fee. The online exam provides immediate results and speeds up the process for receiving your IFPO SSMP designation. A score of 70% or greater is required to pass this examination. On average the course can be completed within a 4-6 month period, however, it must be completed within one year of enrollment.

On-line Testing Included In All Program Costs: Effective January 15, 2005, any new enrollments will be entitled to the on-line testing at no additional charge. If a paper test is requested, it will be an additional $20.00.
