OST is ideal for working security officers who wish
to enhance their professional experience. Building
upon the OBT level of training and the 40 hours of
Basic Protection Officer course work and an additional
5-7 hours of training customized for specialty area.
The instruction develops the existing knowledge base
by providing a standard approach to the numerous tasks
required of the security practitioner. The information
presented is taken from time proven, safe methods
and ensures officers have the professional skills
to carry out the important mission of protecting people,
property, and information. This career track covers
a diversity of topics in a user-friendly format. The
courses are delivered online.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Basic
Protection Officer course and the Officer Basic Training
Program or Basic Protection Officer course and three
months full time protection experience (or equivalent
law enforcement/military experience)
