One of the most prestigious levels of accomplishment
a security supervisor can achieve is the designation
of Certified in Security Supervision and Management
(CSSM). A CSSM designation proudly announces to employers
and perspective employers that the holder of this
certification is sufficiently trained to be a security
supervisor.
Candidate must submit the appropriate application
and remit a $75.00 certification fee to apply for
the CSSM designation. Once accepted, the candidate
must address 10 simulated workplace scenarios demanding
supervisory action. Candidates must describe the measures
he/she deems appropriate for each scenario and substantiate
the recommended actions by using the course text as
supportive reference. The CSSM Certification Committee
will review the scenario material to determine eligibility
for certification.
Upon successful completion of the CSSM, the individual
will then receive the Certified in Security Supervision
and Management Certification Certificate, Lapel Pin,
and a letter confirming successful completion. A plaque
may be ordered at an additional cost.
Prerequisites: Six months of previous security
supervisory experience and successful completion of
the Security Supervision and Management
Program.
