The Legal Concepts course introduces the security officer to various legal aspects such as terminology, differences between civil and criminal law, and liability issues. General knowledge of arrest, detention, search and seizure, as well as use of force will be addressed but each state and jurisdiction will have specific policies concerning these issues.
